Our top selling Barn Owl Nest Box incorporates all the essential features for the safe rearing of owlets. We very much appreciate the help that The Barn Owl Trust and other experts have given us during the design stages.
The box is suitable for use inside a building such as a barn, or externally on a tree, wall or post. Features that provide for the safe rearing of owlets and effective but simple management of the box include:-

Full width sturdy front platform for owlets to exercise on.

Full 43cm depth from entrance hole to floor.
Specially drilled backplate providing fixing holes above and below the box and oversized holes to accommodate ropes for hauling the box up the tree and locating it.
Double inspection hatch allowing full access to the whole floor area facilitates cleaning or inspection from either side of the box. Both hatches are designed to avoid rain coming in, and are securely held in position with simple fastenings.
A generous weather "canopy" that protects both the entrance hole and the landing platform from the worst of the weather.
A lightweight but robust construction strengthened by integral tags formed from the plywood walls but still only weighing approx. 8 kgs.
