We enjoyed the Scottish Bat Conference and meeting many customers.

We had a good time at the Scottish Bat Conference. Thanks to Anne Youngman and everyone at BCT for another well run and interesting day with over 100 people attending. As always it’s good to meet face to face with customers. We took along all our range of bat boxes and had our heated bat box up and running. There was a very interesting talk from Mark Wilson from the BTO, he summarised the findings to date from the Norfolk Bat Project (www.batsurvey.org) and introduced the forthcoming Southern Scotland Bat Project. Both these projects are using volunteers to deploy the monitoring equipment and show how recent advances in technology can be used to advance our knowledge of bat distribution and activity. If you are in either of these areas and interested in the projects, it would be well worth checking out their website as they will be looking for volunteers in 2016 to help with monitoring.
