Nestbox Company and Climate Change

We are excited to report that we have recently completed the purchase of a small woodland in the Dyfi Valley in Wales. We are keen to play our part in reducing global warming and climate change, and this gives us a great opportunity to make a difference.
We are managing the woodland for wildlife, biodiversity and carbon capture. It already has a variety of habitats, and is species rich. There are neighbouring woods either side, so our woodland forms a corridor for wildlife. All this contributes to the wider area's biodiversity.
The soil and drainage in the woodland copes well with the generous rainfall in the area, and helps to reduce the risk of flooding within the Dyfi river system, to the benefit of the local community.
Another immediate benefit is that carbon capture from the trees in the woodland locks in about 3 times as much Carbon Dioxide as our manufacturing activities create, making our overall carbon footprint negative.
In future, we will be using the woodland to develop and test our products, and we also plan to use the timber harvested from it to make some of our boxes.
