Workshop Blue Tits growing well

Back in October last year we put up one of our eco bird boxes on the end of our workshop hoping something might use the box. We were really pleased when a pair of blue tits moved in this spring. The eggs hatched about two weeks ago and thanks to the busy parents the young are growing well and we’re expecting them to fledge in the next couple of days. Both parents are really busy trying to provide sufficient food for the growing brood. Each chick can eat as many as 100 caterpillars a day so keeping the brood of 6 well fed seems to be a never ending task.
