Coronavirus Update (November 2020)
With the new lockdown for England, we are making sure we comply with all the regulations, and closely follow the latest Government and health authority advice. We aim to contribute to the efforts to reduce the spread of Coronavirus, and safeguard our customers, suppliers and staff.
As a manufacturer, we remain open, indeed we are much busier than usual. We are a small family business, and all our office and workshop facilities are home based. This means that we are able to do much of our work without anyone needing to travel to or from work. We have introduced several changes to our workshops and working practices to combat the spread of the virus, including:
- Improved ventilation
- Delivery drivers and carriers do not enter our buildings
- No face to face meetings with business partners or visitors
- Additional PPE
- Quarantining of supplies coming in
- Additional handwashing and sanitisation
- Workstation and physical distancing
- Additional workplace cleaning
Our carriers continue to operate more or less normally, and as well as delivering supplies to us, are collecting orders from us for delivery to our customers. They are very busy, and doing a great job working with new safety procedures, but inevitably a few delays are occurring.
We are dependent on our suppliers to provide the materials and services we need to manufacture our boxes etc. Although we have experienced a few temporary difficulties with some supplies, we have been able to keep our production going throughout the epidemic and expect to continue doing so. As a precaution we have built up our stock levels to give us some protection against any future disruption. We are grateful to all our suppliers, many of whom have gone out of their way to keep our supply chains moving.
Due to the availability of supplies and the measures outlined above, we regret that some of our orders are taking us a little longer than usual to complete. Please let us know if you need an order by a particular date, and we will do our best to meet it. We are grateful to all our customers for their continued confidence, support, and patience, and will continue to do everything we can to deliver all orders as promptly and as safely as we can.
